My relationship with music
My relationship with music
My relationship with music began from a young age. My parents have a large CD collection of songs which include different artists such as The Gap Band, Yarbrough & Peoples, Diana Ross and Earth, Wind & Fire. Hearing these songs whilst growing up made me taking a liking to their music choice and ever since then I've been interested in these type of songs.
I enjoy listening to music to pass time. For example on the way to college, in a long car journey and at home. It keeps me occupied and makes me feel happy depending on the song that is playing. I also think that the type of song that I listen to depends on my mood. For example if I was happy I would listen to music in the Hip-Hop/Rap genre because that is my favourite music genre.
Additionally, it also helps me whilst doing coursework/homework because I feel that I focus more and sets me in the right mood to produce at my best.
In my opinion, I also believe that music can form friendships. For example if you and another person have an interest in the same artist or genre.

In my opinion, a variety of songs in the pop genre today are re-created from songs in the 70s, 80s etc.
An example of this is 'Come Down' by WSTRN (2016) and 'Love Come Down' by Evelyn Champagne King (1982)
Brief but a clear breakdown of your relationship with music, your parents have a great taste in music (it sounds very similar to mine.
